Effect of Nitrogen on Properties of Weldments

Over the last 10 years many features of various microalloyed steels have been studied at the Swedish Institute for Metals Research. Special attention has been paid to the important role of nitrogen in the HSLA steels and its effect on properties of weldment The results of this study as well as those reported in the literature are summarized in this paper.
