At 00:20 on 29 January 2024, the CNNP Rich Energy Dongle Beitan 100MW photovoltaic project + 50MW/200MWh vanadium flow battery independent shared energy storage project was successfully connected to the grid. The Dongle Beitan 100MW photovoltaic project is the second batch of wind and photovoltaic power generation projects in the "14th Five-Year Plan" in Zhangye City, Gansu Province. The independent shared energy storage project planned to be constructed simultaneously is the largest in the country and the first commercial vanadium flow battery energy storage of the CNNP Rich Energy storage project.
CNNP Rich Energy Dongle Beitan 100MW photovoltaic project is located in Shandan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, covering an area of about 3,000 acres. The total installed capacity of the project is 100MW. It is planned to build a 250MW/1000MWh energy storage power station and a 110kV booster station simultaneously. The scale of this grid connection is 100MW photovoltaic, and the first phase (50MW/200MWH) of the energy storage project.
After the project is fully put into operation, it can save about 60,000 tons of standard coal every year, reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by more than 200,000 tons and carbon dioxide by more than 150,000 tons, and increase new energy power consumption by about 300 million kilowatt hours.
