Hebei ChaoVan Energy Storage’s 1GW Annual Vanadium Flow Battery Production Line Nears Operation

Hebei ChaoVan Energy Storage Co., Ltd. has announced that its advanced 1GW annual capacity vanadium flow battery production line is preparing for operation. It is currently in testing and final procurement of raw materials. Part of Hebei Province's clean energy infrastructure initiative, the facility also includes a 1GWh capacity energy storage station, marking a major step forward for renewable energy storage in the region.

Hebei ChaoVan is a state-owned enterprise under the Hebei Mining Group, with 60% ownership by the provincial SASAC and 35% by Xin Xin Vanadium-Titanium. The company has mastered several key technologies in producing vanadium flow batteries, including proton membranes, integrated bipolar plates, electrolytes, and frame manufacturing. It has also established a production line with an annual capacity of 250MW/1000MWh for vanadium flow batteries, a proton membrane production line with an annual capacity of 300,000 square meters, and an injection molding workshop.
