Hebei Yanzhao Xingtai Phase II (85MW/170MWh) Energy Storage Project Achieves Successful Grid Connection

China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. announced that Phase II (85MW/170MWh) of the Hebei Yanzhao Xingtai independent energy storage project was successfully connected to the grid at 19:20 on 30 December 2025. The project achieved first-attempt reverse power transmission, with all key parameters meeting requirements and the system operating safely and stably.

Located within the Guotai Power Plant site in Xingtai, Hebei Province, the project is described as a key provincial new-type energy storage demonstration. The overall storage development is planned at 200MW/800MWh using a vanadium–lithium hybrid configuration. Phase I (110MW/240MWh) was completed on 28 December 2024, while Phase II officially began construction on 15 October 2025.
