Jinwei Energy’s 1GW Vanadium Flow Battery System Integration Intelligent Manufacturing Production Line Officially Breaks Ground in Huaihua, Hunan

As part of Huaihua City's first major project commencement event of 2025, Jinwei Energy's 1GW vanadium flow battery system integration intelligent manufacturing production line has officially broken ground. This project marks a significant step forward for Hunan Province in the field of advanced energy storage technology, providing strong support for clean energy development and industrial upgrading.
The project, located in Zhongfang County, Huaihua City, covers an area of 50 acres with a total investment of 250 million yuan. It includes the construction of a 1GW vanadium flow battery system integration intelligent manufacturing production line and an annual production line of 60,000 cubic meters of vanadium flow battery electrolyte. Upon completion and full production, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 1.67 billion yuan, contributing an annual tax revenue of about 45 million yuan.
This groundbreaking event also includes several other key projects, such as the Zhongfang County Leather and Luggage Industry Chain Manufacturing Base, the Zhongfang County Fanwo Precision New Energy Equipment Manufacturing Base, and the Huaihua City Hezhong Integrated Drainage and Flood Prevention Improvement Project. The total investment for these projects amounts to 782 million yuan, covering fields such as advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy, cultural tourism, and infrastructure development. As a crucial part of this initiative, the Jinwei Energy project is expected to play a significant role in advancing Zhongfang County’s "8+2" modern industrial system construction.
The Jinwei Energy project was officially signed on 6 September 2024, and has received strong support from the government and industry stakeholders. The implementation of this project will facilitate the large-scale application of vanadium battery energy storage technology, improve energy efficiency, and promote high-quality development in the energy storage sector in Hunan Province and across China.
