Dalian Rongke Power Co., Ltd. (Rongke Power) has successfully won the bid, in partnership with China Power Construction Group Northwest Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd., for the 100MW/400MWh vanadium flow battery energy storage project in Hami Guotou Shichengzi. This marks the first large-scale vanadium flow battery energy storage station in the Hami, Xinjiang, China, playing a crucial role in integrating and exporting renewable energy.

The project, funded by Hami Dongtianshan Power Co., Ltd., will see Rongke Power supplying the 100MW/400MWh vanadium flow battery storage equipment, while China Power Construction Group will oversee the overall design and construction. The facility adopts a high-integration, prefabricated outdoor container layout, enabling a shorter construction cycle and intelligent grid coordination. Completion and operation are scheduled for June 30, 2025.

With a strong presence in the Xinjiang market, Rongke Power has successfully deployed multiple large-scale vanadium flow battery storage projects, surpassing a cumulative capacity of 2.4GWh. As an advanced long-duration energy storage solution, vanadium flow batteries enhance renewable energy utilization and grid stability, gaining increasing market recognition as a key component of modern power systems.

Hami’s abundant wind and solar resources, strategic location, and robust power transmission capabilities position it as a critical hub for China’s "West-to-East Electricity Transmission" initiative. With soaring demand for energy storage and vast industry potential, Rongke Power remains committed to supporting Hami’s energy storage industry and contributing to the development of China’s new energy infrastructure.
