Shan Xi International Energy Group Commences Construction on 300MW Vanadium Flow Battery Manufacturing Project
August 21, 2024 - Shan Xi International Energy Group has officially broken ground on its 300MW Vanadium Flow Battery Manufacturing Project. This milestone event was part of Shanxi Province's 2024 "Three Batches" initiative, which includes the signing, commencement, and completion of key projects across various cities.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on August 19, 2024, during the "Three Batches" activity held in Jinzhong, where significant projects were highlighted. This initiative aims to bolster the region's economic development through strategic investments in emerging industries.
The 300MW Vanadium Flow Battery Manufacturing Project is one of the 21 projects under the "start batch," representing a total investment of 4.11 billion yuan. This project underscores the strategic importance of new energy technologies in Shanxi's industrial landscape.
Mr. Chang Shuming, Secretary of the Jinzhong Municipal Party Committee, presided over the commencement ceremony, emphasizing the significance of this project in driving innovation and energy transformation within the region. The project is expected to enhance Shanxi's position as a leader in advanced energy storage solutions, contributing to the province's sustainable development goals.
The Vanadium Flow Battery technology is recognized for its high efficiency and long lifecycle, making it an ideal solution for large-scale energy storage. The event also saw the signing of 14 additional projects, with a total investment of 8.017 billion yuan, further reflecting Shanxi's commitment to fostering growth in strategic emerging industries.
