Sichuan Development Xingxin Vanadium Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sichuan Development (Holding) Co., Ltd., has officially launched production at its 60,000-cubic-meter per year Short-Process Vanadium Electrolyte Preparation Project in the Weiyuan Economic Development Zone, Neijiang.
With this milestone, Neijiang’s vanadium electrolyte production capacity has surged from 1,500 cubic meters to 61,500 cubic meters annually, marking a significant advancement in the large-scale application of vanadium resources beyond the steel sector. This achievement plays a crucial role in accelerating Neijiang’s “Vanadium-Titanium+” industrial development and strengthening its position as a leading green vanadium-titanium industrial base in China.

A Strategic Leap for Sichuan’s Energy Industry
Neijiang is home to China’s second-largest vanadium resource utilization base. In recent years, the city has leveraged policy opportunities to focus on vanadium raw materials, new vanadium materials, and vanadium-based energy solutions, driving the development of a trillion-yuan “Vanadium-Titanium+” industrial cluster.
This newly launched project stands out for its cost efficiency, strong market potential, high safety standards, and superior environmental performance. It is expected to play a vital role in boosting Sichuan’s high-quality vanadium-titanium industry development while enhancing energy storage capabilities across the province.
Formation of the Sichuan Vanadium Battery Energy Storage Industry Alliance
To further integrate upstream and downstream resources and establish a comprehensive industrial collaboration model spanning vanadium resource development, vanadium products, vanadium electrolyte, and vanadium battery storage, ten leading enterprises and institutions— including Sichuan Development (Holding) Co., Ltd., Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group, Panzhihua Iron & Steel Vanadium-Titanium Resources Co., Ltd., Tranvic Group and Sichuan V-Liquid Co., Ltd..—have jointly initiated the Sichuan Vanadium Battery Energy Storage Industry Alliance.
Strengthening Industry Partnerships
During the launch event, Sichuan Development Xingxin signed strategic cooperation agreements with key industry players, including Chengyu Vanadium-Titanium, Sichuan V-Liquid, Zhejiang Xingchen New Energy, Hebei Jiantou Saihan Green Energy, Shandong Electric Liquid Flow Storage, and Blue Sky Technology. These collaborations aim to enhance supply chain resilience and accelerate the large-scale commercialization of vanadium battery energy storage in applications such as new energy megaprojects and grid-side peak shaving.
The successful launch of this project marks a new chapter in Sichuan’s energy storage sector, reinforcing its commitment to building a world-class vanadium battery energy storage hub.
