Sinoma Overseas and CNBM Equipment Group Launch Collaborative Vanadium Flow Battery Storage Project

Sinoma Overseas Development Co., Ltd. (Sinoma Overseas) and China National Building Material (CNBM) Equipment Group have jointly announced the launch of an advanced vanadium flow battery energy storage project. The collaboration, marked by the recent signing of a framework agreement in Beijing.

The new project will establish a 250kW/1MWh high-integration vanadium flow battery pilot platform, housed within the CNBM Equipment Group’s Hefei Intelligent Manufacturing Park. The facility will host an Advanced Energy Storage Engineering Technology Laboratory dedicated to the research and testing of vanadium flow battery technology. Both companies will jointly explore key assessment technologies for vanadium flow battery design and focus on developing storage solutions aimed at green manufacturing applications in the cement industry.

The initiative will serve as a foundation for future partnerships, enabling both companies to develop localized business models, explore domestic and international projects, and strengthen their green energy portfolios.
