V-Liquid Signs Investment Cooperation Agreement with Chuxiong Prefecture to Build a GW-Scale Vanadium Flow Battery Full-Industry-Chain Smart Manufacturing Base

Sichuan V-Liquid Energy Co., Ltd. (V-Liquid) today announced that it has signed an investment cooperation agreement with Chuxiong Prefecture Jinjiang Energy Group and the People’s Government of Chuxiong City to develop a GW-scale, vanadium redox flow battery (VFB) energy storage smart manufacturing base covering the full industry chain.
The partnership will leverage V-Liquid’s capabilities in VFB stack and system integration, alongside Chuxiong Prefecture’s leading vanadium resource endowment and strong renewable energy potential. The project plans to attract and cluster key upstream and downstream segments—including ion-exchange membranes, carbon felt, electrolyte, and other critical ancillary materials—creating an integrated manufacturing and supply ecosystem in Chuxiong aimed at serving markets in South and Southeast Asia.
Upon completion, the base is expected to help Chuxiong Prefecture form a “vanadium resource comprehensive utilization to vanadium energy storage” industrial ecosystem, strengthening Yunnan’s green energy sector with storage solutions positioned as safe, long-duration, and cost-effective. V-Liquid said it will use the Chuxiong base as a new strategic anchor to advance its mission of making electricity storage safer through technology, and to contribute “safe, long-duration, economical” energy storage solutions for a global net-zero future.
