Wontai Power has successfully connected its 100MW Guazhou Beiqiao Baiyang Wind Project to the grid at full capacity. Located in Guazhou County's renewable energy planning zone in Jiuquan City, this project underscores Wontai's leadership in renewable energy innovation and its commitment to sustainable development.

Project Highlights:

  • Capacity: 100MW, featuring 16 wind turbines each with a capacity of 6.25MW.
  • Annual Output: Expected annual power generation of 330 million kWh.
  • Environmental Impact: Estimated annual reduction of 330,000 tons of carbon emissions.

The project is supported by a 15MW/60MWh vanadium flow battery energy storage station. Comprising six 2.4MW storage units and one 0.6MW unit, the station optimizes power generation by smoothing wind turbine output curves, mitigating grid impact, and enhancing energy efficiency.

Transformative Impact on Local Communities and the Environment

With its successful operation, the Guazhou Wind Project significantly enhances local energy structures, boosts employment opportunities, fosters regional industrial growth, and accelerates the achievement of green, low-carbon development goals. It offers a sustainable model of ecological and economic synergy for the region.
