Microalloyed Reinforcing Bars
Abstract:
Low-carbon reinforcing bars, microalloyed vanadium plus nitrogen are particularly suitable to satisfy market demands for high strength, weldable and non-aging grades. The use of vanadium carbonitride as a steel additive facilitates the addition of nitrogen to steel and increases precipitation strengthening effect of vanadium .. Consistent recoveries of microalloying additions and insensitivity to variations in hot rolling practice contribute to good uniformity of mechanical properties.
