Vanadium Processing at White Mesa Mill

The mill features a dedicated circuit for vanadium recovery, enabling the production of high-purity vanadium pentoxide (V₂O₅) from specific ores and alternate feed materials. This capability positions Energy Fuels as the largest conventional vanadium producer in the U.S. Vanadium is primarily used to strengthen steel and is gaining attention for its potential in next-generation energy storage systems, such as vanadium redox flow batteries .​

Historically, the White Mesa Mill has produced significant quantities of vanadium. For instance, in 2019, the mill produced 1.8 million pounds of V₂O₅ .​
